Dynamic QR Code Generator

Editable, trackable QR codes that you can update after printing — coming soon to QRForge. Our free static generator is ready to use right now.

Coming soon

Dynamic QR codes are on the way

Dynamic QR codes let you change the destination and see scan counts after printing. They need a hosted redirect link that stays online, so we are building this carefully rather than rushing it. It is not available yet — we will host it soon.

In the meantime, our static QR codes are free forever: no account, no watermark, and they never expire. If your link will not change, a static code is all you need.

Optional upgrade

Need editable links and scan analytics?

If you genuinely need to change a code's destination after printing or measure scans, a dedicated dynamic QR platform handles redirects and analytics. We only suggest this when the free static code truly will not do the job.

About this tool

A dynamic QR code does not store your link directly. Instead it points to a short redirect URL that you can change at any time, and it can count scans. That makes it useful when a destination may change (a seasonal menu, a campaign landing page) or when you want analytics. The trade-off is that dynamic codes depend on a redirect service staying online — which is exactly the piece we are building. Dynamic QR is coming soon to QRForge. Until then, our free static generator makes permanent codes that never expire, and the comparison below helps you decide which one you actually need.

Frequently asked questions

Are dynamic QR codes free?

Truly free, unlimited dynamic codes are rare — most providers cap the free tier or charge for analytics. We are upfront about that. Our static codes, however, are genuinely free forever.

Do dynamic codes expire?

They keep working as long as the provider's redirect service is online. That is the main difference from a static code, which has nothing to keep alive.

When should I choose dynamic over static?

Choose dynamic only if you need to change the destination after printing or want scan analytics. For most posters, menus, and business cards, a free static code is the better, simpler choice.

Can I start static and switch later?

Yes. Many people print a static code first and only move to dynamic if a real need for editing or tracking appears.
