How to Create a Wi-Fi QR Code (Step by Step)

A Wi-Fi QR code lets anyone join your network by pointing their camera at a small square — no reading out a long password, no typos. Here is how to make one in under a minute, and how to make sure it scans reliably.

Step 1 — Find your network details

You need three things: your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears, your password, and the security type. For almost every modern router that security type is WPA/WPA2. You can find these on the router label or in your router settings.

Step 2 — Generate the code

Is it safe to share?
